block party ideas..i have
never even been to one.but i am having one on my block. can anyone give me some tips or games to do with 4 years and under, drinks food? each house is responsible for their own food. any help would be appreciated.TIA

One house on our block had their own bounce house that was good for the smaller kids that they put out in front of their house.
We put out a bunch of backyard toys (slide, teeter totter, tunnel, etc) Our next door neighbor put out a wading pool.
You could order a cute craft from Oriental Trading. They are usually cheap. Maybe set up a sand art table at your house?
We did a BBQ for our friends and family that came.

I ordered a bunch of tattoos from Amazon.com (Savvi Tattoos sells some cool looking ones that appeal to both girls and boys) and they were a hit!!! The older kids put them on the younger ones. I ordered over 500 tattoos and they all went!
I ordered glow sticks in bulk off of Ebay.
We did a water balloon toss contest for the little ones while the adults did an egg toss. The little ones played musical chairs and freeze dance as well.
We also booked a 16x20 bounce house with an attendant for 3 hours.
