Blood work/SA update... for those who are interested...
So, the doctor called yesterday and tells me that DH's SA came back "normal" (now DH thinks he's perfect ) and my bloodwork came back all normal except for my testosterone levels were low... I guess it's better than it being high... so, now, my question is... WHY THE H E L L CAN'T I GET PG?!
All this friggin' BD'ing (yeah it's "fun") for nothing! God, I'm p*ssed off right now!!!
Sorry, rant over!

i'm so sorry that the results didn't give you a nice window of 'this is what's wrong, let's fix it'. I'm PETRIFIED of that news....

i'm glad to hear everything is good with both of you but i agree, now what? you still don't know what the problem is,
did your dr just give the results over the phone does he have any advice for what to do next, or just keep trying
maybe a little of the pressure thinking somethings wrong will be off and hopefully it will happen soon

His only advice... keep doing OPKs and I'll see you in March, if you're not PG by then.

I know it's frustrating not knowing why, but it's better than bad news!
The good news is that you n DH are healthy, and I am sure the BD wasn't for nothing!
Do your best to enjoy the next 6 months and have a whatever happens happens attitude, at least you know you can go back in March if nothing "Happens"
Good Luck

How old are you? How long have you been trying?
There are many more things they can do besides bloodwork and an SA.

Re: Blood work/SA update... for those who are interested...
I'm 28 and DH is 30... we're not at the point (age-wise) that would expedite us to the next step... but after 7 months of nothing, it's starting to get a *little* frustrating...
What else is there that could be done? I've only heard of the bloodwork and SA... I've already had two internal sonos done in the last two months.

What about an HSG?
Our first steps were SA, CD 3 bloodwork, then HSG. CD 21 bloodwork might also be an option if you need to confirm that you are ovulating. What about a post-coital?

HSG
Post-coital
First, and please don't take this the wrong way - but it's imperative that you do your research! We are our own best advocates, and you need to educate yourself on the various tests and procedures so that you can be knowledgeable in this area, voice your concerns, and take action. Doctors don't always want to be as aggressive as we do! Even if all you do is read up on LIF! I have learned so much from here and the IF boards!
HSG
Post-Coital
In summary:
HSG - A dye is put through a tube into your uterus and allowed to flow through your fallopian tubes and is observed via xray. This can find a blocked tube or problems in the uterus.
Post-Coital - Not as common. Checks your CM after BDing to see if sperm are present and how they are moving.
