Blood Work Update
Okay, so I got the official results (in hand) from my CD3 blood work done by GP (to bring with me to my RE on the 16th). Here are my levels...
Cholesterol 204 HDL cholesterol 60 LDL cholesterol 132
Estradial, serum 54 FSH 6.5 LH 4.6
Testosterone 63 Testosterone Free .09
How do these levels look? Are they characteristic of PCOS on CD3? These levels were taken during my follicular phase, right?
BTW, I used that website that some of you recommended for hormone levels, and it was helpful. I appreciate it. Just thought someone might be able to provide some more insight. I still have a week to go before my initial RE visit and I'm going crazy not having definite answers.

Re: Blood Work Update
Your cholesterol is high, that can be a symptom of PCOS. You should probably talk to you dr. about ways to lower it.
Your hormone levels, however, are perfect, right where they should be for CD3.
Here is a website that is really useful for knowing what all those numbers mean:
Hormone blood levels
ETA: not sure it this is the same website you've already looked at.

Thanks! I know my cholesterol is high - always seems to be. I definitely need to talk to the doctor about that. I also know that can be a symptom of PCOS. My CD3 hormone levels are good - which I was happy about. Thing is, when I had blood work done on CD54, my levels were ALL over the place. And my LH and FSH ratio was 3:1 (PCOS like).
I know your levels change throughout your cycle, but the whole thing is so confusing.

Re: Blood Work Update
You got AF about 2 weeks after the initial blood work, right? So you may have been O'ing or just O'd when that blood was taken. That would explain the high LH level. CD3 bloodwork is the accurate measurement.

actually your cholesterol is only borderline high and your ratio (LDL:HDL) is very very good - almost 2:1!! (LDLs are the bad cholesterol and HDLs are the good kind) so that is a great sign.
sorry i don't know much about the other numbers, but i'm hoping you get some answers soon!

Re: Blood Work Update
Your fsh:lh ratio is good around .70 (should be 1:1 or less) Everything else looks good-I'm not sure that you have PCOS however you are missing some tests they commonly give for PCOS analysis most notable teh 2 hr fasting glucose tolerance test, thyroid testing(this could be a reason why your cycles are long) and prolactin.

I got AF about 3 weeks after my initial blood work - so maybe I did ovulate??!
As for my thyroid, I had that tested with my blood work and my GP said that looked "normal".
I know I'm impatient - but being that my first doctor diagnosed me with CD 54 blood work and my sonogram (cysts on ovaries) with PCOS and then my GP takes blood on CD3 and my levels are "normal", I am so frustrated. I am going to the RE next Wednesday, but until then, I am going a bit crazy!!!!!
Thanks so much for your help, ladies. I really appreciate it.

Remember that not everyone is the same for PCOS. Its a very broad diagnosis that encompasses many symptoms. You may just have the "string of pearls" on your ovaries and nothing else. I have that, the off balance FSH/LH, high testosterone. However I am not overweight and not IR. You'll find everyone you talk with PCOS has varying symptoms. Hang in there, you'll get some answers very soon!!
