Blossom end rot- Green thumbs needed!!
I have it on my tomato plants. What can I do? I removed all the bad fruit. I did have about 4 days where I forgot to water but since then I have been giving them a watering can of water every other day, in this heat. Can it be related to the heat, as well as, over or underwatering? Will applying more fertilizer help the problem? Is there anything I can do otherwise? Is my crop dommed?
TIA
P.S. My plants are in whiskey barrels on my patio. I don't know if that makes a difference?

Oh my....ME TOO! I have never had this problem before and am really not sure what to do. I feel like it must be water related. I know they like to be watered less often and more deeply. So I think that the heat and improper watering would do it but I am hope there is a way to stop and fix the problem!

Do they barrels let the water sip out?
Usually rot is associated with too much water in the roots like the water is not draining.
