Blowing your hair straight?
First, what brush do you have? I hate mine...why kind/type?
Second, my new Elchim dryer has so much wind that I can't keep my hair on the brush. My hair is ending up very knotty and messy.
How do you blow your hair out with a round brush...im having a hard time.

Are you using the attachment piece to direct the air correctly?
I can't find my brush online, but it's a combination of these 2 bristles in one brush... BEST BRUSH EVER!!
Oh, and it's a vented brush... like the 2nd option.. so air flows in and out of the center.

Re: Blowing your hair straight?
Not sure how long / short your hair is but the bigger the brush the straighter you'll get it.
I have a brush similar to post above.

I use a similar brush to the one posted above. I also always use some product in my hair to make it smoother. Sometime I use mouse, sometimes I use a styling cream.

the round one goes on the back of the hairdryer.. over the vent....
maybe you need to play around with the attachment.. aim it in the right angle for you... you should always blow your hair from root to tip... so that's the angle the air should be blowing in..

Re: Blowing your hair straight?
I start off using a wide paddle brush on my hair like this one (below) to get my hair mostly dry.
Then to get it really straight, I used the large vented round brush posted above. I dry it in sections and style it using this kind of brush.
The brush you're using now might be too small to hold on to a large section of your hair, that's why it's blowing around so much.
I also use anti-frizz serum to control the frizziness. My hair seems to come out much smoother when I use that.

Re: Blowing your hair straight?
I use the conair blackbird. I usually section my hair like above my ears and put it up with a clip. I use a round brush like the ones above. i put the brush on the outside of my hair to pull it down and get the roots straight with the blow dryer. Then i wrap that piece of hair around the brush and dry it under. I also use a big round bristle brush especially to dry the ends. It sounds confusing but once you get the hang of it its pretty easy

Re: Blowing your hair straight?
First, get good products-I use Moroccan Oil, Wella protein spray and straightening cream with heat protectant. Frederic Fekkai makes great cream.
Then I blow my hair haphazardly using my fingers until it is damp.
I use a Conair ceramic tourmaline round brush, which helps make it smooth and shiny. I section my hair with clips and first use a paddle brush to detangle. Then wrap your hair around the round brush in small sections and use the concentrator at the end blowing the hair downward to prevent frizzies. Do the bottom section first. Then do the top sections the same way, aiming the nozzle down. Do this until your hair is dry-go over any sections that aren't perfect.
That works great for me!
