blue eyes or brown???

How does that whole thing work, i am trying to think back to biology class...if you both have br eyes buy grandparents have blue, can the baby have blue..or will he have br for sure...

Oh man, my DH draws the chart all the time.

It depends if you have the ressesive gene for blue eyes.

My cousin & her DH both have brown eyes, they have one blue eyed baby and one green eyed.

If you both have brown one of his parents and one of your parents have blue, you have a 25% chance of your baby having blue eyes.

I took this part of biology 3 times in highschool, so I kind of remember it well.

If one of each set of grandparents have blue eyes and both parents have brown eyes, your child has approx. 25% chance of having blue eyes based on a rough punnets (sp?) square.

ETA: I'm DYING to know if my child will have green eyes. My DH does, his father does and his sister did, and my mother has hazel eyes. And both my grandfathers had blue eyes so I should be carrying the recessive gene for that. But that's too complicated for me to figure out in a punnets square.

ok his dad has blue, my parents have brown andhis mom has br, i have br, hubby has brish hazel...so what does that mean...LOL

what happens when u and ur spouse have hazel eyes? my eyes are amber (yellow w/little brown) his are hazel blue with amber around pupil. the link doesn't recognize hazel eyed parents??

If you both have the recessive gene for blue, you could have a blue-eyed baby, though I believe your chances of having a brown-eyed baby are still higher.

Ours could go either way, though brown is probably more likely also. DH has blue eyes, so does his father, though his mother does not. I have brown eyes, so does my mother, but my father's are blue.

I have brown eyes as does my whole family. DS has brown eyes.

DH has blue eyes and so does MIL. My DD got their blue eyes

My son had crystal blue eyes up until he was 18 months old (they are now a gorgeous very light turquoise green).

My pediatrician told us that all we needed was 1 person on either side of our family, whether it be mom, dad, or any of our parents siblings, for the possibility of our children to have blue/green eyes. My daughter has hazel eyes. =O)

I have brown eyes, my husband has hazel eyes. His mom has blue eyes.

My whole family has blue eyes...

my mom's side - all blue but her (she has brown-they don't know where they came from-both grandparents had blue eyes so did her 5 siblings...),

my father's side all blue (including my dad)..

I came out with Brown after my mom(no siblings), weird...

According to that website, my baby had a 12% chance of having blue eyes, 37.5% chance of green and 50% chance of brown eyes. Guess what, I have a blue eyed, blond haired little boy!

edited to add: I have green and DH has brown eyes. His dad has blue, his mom and brother both have brown. Both my parents have brown as does my sister.

both of our father have/had blue eyes; mothers - brown.

Itr is poss that your child can have blue eyes. Neither my sister nor her hubby have blue eyes, but both their two girls do!

I have hazel eyes, DH has green and Taylors eyes are currently blue...dont know if this can still change, she is 6 months old

DH and I both have blue eyes so that's the only thing we know for sure. Our little peanut will have blue eyes.

Here's my deal: DH is Italian-brown hair brown eyes. I have blond hair and green eyes. DS#1 is brown and brown with beautiful olive complexion. Then came #2...milky white skin, sky-blue eyes and platinum hair. You never know!
