For those of you who have DC with blue eyes...
what where they when they were born? DD has had blue eyes since she was born and shes 2 months today... i wonder if they are staying

Both my kids started out with really blue eyes, like Navy blue. DS were so dark, they were brown with out a doubt by the time he was 4-6 months.
DD's got lighter and lighter. We knew they would probably stay blue because she is all daddy -

Ped said whatever eye color the DC has at 6mth that is their eye color.........
I hope it is true - DS has greenish/bluish color and both DH and I have light brown.......go figure!

I heard there eye color can switch up untill a year!
ETA: Julia had blue, then switched to green and then changed to brown at a year! Crazy!

if u look real close, u can def tell if they will stay blue, or go brownish....the blues they start with will get lighter, and if they are brownies, ull start to see darker/brownish/dark breenish specks in them as the weeks go by....take a closer look... :)

both my dc were born with blue eyes. they are 4 and almost 3 years old and both still have very light blue eyes.

They were bluish at birth but she's brown by 1 for sure. They can take up to a year to get to their final color.

I was so surprised that Cole's blue kept getting lighter. I'd never heard that before.

one was born with ice blue eyes and he still has them. He'll be 5 in 2weeks
My other son had dark eyes and they are a hazel blue/gray now.

Sarah was born with blue and they turned hazel around 8 months, then around 2 years they got more brown than hazel. I was so excited b/c I have hazel, now we're thinking she may end up somewhere between my color and DH's dark brown.
At 9 months Andy's have gone from blue to dark grayish, I'm sure they'll be dark brown like DH's.

DD is 5 1/2 months and her eyes are having a color battle- some days very blue, some days more green. I have green eyes, DH has hazel- so we'll see what happens!

Ava's look like they are staying blue. Miranda's were never blue, blue like mine but little by little you could notice the change and some darker speckles appearing. I kept praying it would stop but brown it is. I love her just the same. Odds were against us so I was prepared.

Jared was born with blue, they were dark and they have lightened up a bit. They stayed blue after the year mark. The pediatrician said they can change up to a year.
