Bob's Discounts?
I FINALLY got DH to agree on a table... rectangular, too!  It's from Bob's and we plan to get the whole set- table with 2 leaves, 8 chairs, sideboard, and curio cabinet. We also need a new queen size mattress and LOVE the Bob-o-pedic gel memory foam. Anyone have any luck on negotiating deals when you buy a bunch of items together? We plan to drag my FIL along because he's amazing at this.

I was a little afraid of that. I mean, the set is still very reasonably priced, but we thought since we're getting so much we might be able to get an even better deal. Thanks for the heads up!

if i remember correctly, they didn't negotiate, but we were able to swap pieces from one set with pieces in another that we didn't want. For example, we got a living room set with a couch, coffee table, and two side tables. The price of the set included a love seat, but we didn't want that. We paid the full set price, and just applied the cost of the loveseat to a mattress and bed frame that we wanted. We just paid the little bit of difference in the bed/mattress after subtracting the cost of the loveseat

I spent over $5000 on furniture and they would not budge.

No they do not however, if you buy a set but don't want one of the pieces they may be able to substitute another piece of furniture.

Thanks everyone. I don't think that will work for us since we plan to buy the whole set and the mattress in addition. Still a good value IMO, but I was hoping for something better. DH and I sat on that mattress and were just in heaven.

No negotiations but make sure you get the goof proof. I've needed it for my dining set a few times.
