Bob's Furniture protection plan
Has anyone had to file a claim yet? I need some cushions replaced as well as a coffee table, nightstand and mirror.

Re: Bob's Furniture protection plan
yes, they did a lousy job. we bought some inexpensive pieces when we moved into our 1st apartment 3 years ago.
3 months later, I spilled some nail polish remover on the table and it stripped ALL the finish off in a perfect ring (the bowl the remover was in). I called immediately and filed the claim and no joke, some guy showed up with a set of markers and colored in the ring. Of course, my husband was home and thought it was acceptable, so he let the guy leave. It wasn't even the same color! The ring was colored in orange.
I called Guardian again when I got home and emailed photos of the lousy repair and was told that it was repaired to their standards and they have no further responsibility. I fought back and forth with them for an entire month. They sent someone else out and re-colored the ring. Still looked like garbage. I continued to fight and didn't get anywhere. I REALLY wanted a new table, but no such luck. The protection plan is REPAIR to the best of their ability.
We also have a broken kitchen chair - a leg snapped off while my son was strapped in his booster seat IN THE CHAIR. Thank God I was there to break the fall. I didn't even bother filing a claim, i just tossed the chair in the dumpster.
YES, the stuff was cheap but I will never ever ever ever buy anything there again. The quality is absolute garbage. We're throwing the set out when we move into a house anyway, so I really don't even care anymore.

Re: Bob's Furniture protection plan
I haven't used Bob's Furniture protection plan but I did successfully get over $5K back on my couches through Stainsafe.
My advice is to be persistent if you are not satisfied. They make their money when you back down from your claim.
It sending copies of my correspondence, emails & websites that detailed the complaints being sent to Better Business Bureau & the Federal Trade Commission. Finally, I threatened to sue them.
I was paid in full.
I may have some old letters I wrote, if you need them.

Ugh wonderful. Why do they say you get a brand new item when you're buying the stuff?

Re: Bob's Furniture protection plan
Their furniture looks nice when they bring it to your house...but it really is garbage. I have so many scratches on my footboard and dining room chairs. And the chairs cushions are soooo stained. I have them come once a few months after we got the furniture to fix up a few scratches...but they did exactly what Shorty said - they basically color it in with a furniture marker. I haven't called them about the cusions yet...but I need to.

I have the markers, so I guess I'll do that myself. It's more the cushions that I want replaced.
