Booties

I want to buy booties for this upcoming Fall/Winter season, I just don't know what to get.

I commute into the city everyday, so not that high of a heel.

I am also not sure how they should be worn
Do I need to wear them with ankle pants? skirts/dresses only?

How do you wear yours? What do yours look like?

I feel so confused trying to buy shoes for the colder months.

I wear them with skirts and dresses all the time.
I have worn them with skinny pants too.
I also wear them with jeans
Underneath a boot cut or over a skinny leg

But I don't wear pants often.

Last year I was new to booties, and I only was wearing them with skinny pants. I haven't venture with dresses or skirts, because although I love dresses, during the cold months I wear long boots with dresses. I love how booties with dresses look on others, but I'm not sure how they would look on me.

I just have to say that I loved wearing booties with skinny pants (or even leggings with tunics), because Idk, it was easier, and I didn't feel my legs all thight with long boots. I got 3 pairs (black, brown and grey brownish) in DSW.

I have 2 pairs, a Jessica Simpson one I got last year when I was pregnant and couldn't get my tall boots on and another pair of Sperry ones. Both have a chunky heel and I wear them to and from with city without any issue. I wear with skinny pants, leggings and skirts/dresses with tights.
