Re: boppy vs breast friend
I had both....and I'm glad I did. The first four months I exclusively used the brestfriend for bfing! I loved it and I made a huge difference while bfing. I used the boppy more as a positioner for the baby to lay on. Now I only use the boppy for bfing....or any pillow for that matter.
I had the boppy at the hospital when I first had DD and I hated it. She just didn't fit properly or something.

Re: boppy vs breast friend
I registered for a boppy and my SIL gave me her breast friend pillow. I hated the boppy for BFing. I found the breast friend to be much more comfortable for both of us.
I did use the boppy a lot for propping up baby and when she started sitting up though.

Re: boppy vs breast friend
I only had the Boppy and I used it both for BF and propping up the baby. It is versatile - I used it until DD was about 6 months old.

Re: boppy vs breast friend
I never got the boppy, I got breast friend, and owe a lot of the little success I had BF to it! It really helps hold the baby for you, so you can see and change the latch with both hands.

Re: boppy vs breast friend
i had both. I really liked the breast friend because it is really firm and the boppy is softer.

Re: boppy vs breast friend
I used the boppy with DS. I tried to use the breastfriend pillow but didn't like it. I definitely prefered the boppy. As previously posted it has so many versatile uses. DS is 6 months now and I use it for him to sit in to support him.

Re: boppy vs breast friend
yes...definitely get both.
IMO, the boppy is great for everything EXCEPT BF. My DS is 2 months and LOVES when I prop the boppy up against the corner of the couch so he can "watch tv" and see everything. But it will wreck your back when you use it for nursing (you'd only know that if you have back problems like I do, otherwise you probably wouldn't notice the way you have to hunch your back over to position yourself correctly). The Breast Friend is AWESOME for BF.
So, I think you'd be wise to get both, JMO.

Re: boppy vs breast friend
I have the boppy and still use it for bfing (my son will be a year at the end of the month!) I like it a lot but have a feeling the bfriend is better and gives bettersupport. I will get the bfriend next time around!

Re: boppy vs breast friend
I love my boppy - never tried the breast friend.
I'm curious, are people using the boppy to put the baby on and up to the breast or do they use it as support under their arms as they cradle the baby? I do the latter and it's perfect for that. I can see how the breast friend would be better for the former.
