Bored w/ job

Anyone feel like you are just bored with your job but stuck at the same time? I had done a career change a while back from a high paid high stress job to a lower paid low stress job, but now 6 years later I can't help but just feel totally bored... I work with great people, but, my job is very cyclical and there are not any new projects/challenges. My department is very small and there is not really any room to be promoted/grow. At the same time I feel like I shouldn't complain because 1- I wanted a less stressful job and 2- I get more vacation time then average which is good especially when you have a family... I guess I just feel stuck and wanted to vent.

At times.

I have almost no stress and drama at work that I truly most days do not feel like I'm at work.

Life was never like this for me.

It's interesting though because a colleague was just promoted to a different program which sounds like it would be challenging yet rewarding and the team was just informed yesterday' that she will be coming back...

Yes. Been there 20 years in 3 different departments. I think it is boring because it is no longer challenging and there really isn't anything more for me to learn.
But I plan on retiring in a few more years so I will just stick it out.
