Born Free Level 1 Nipples Collapsing
Did anyone find that these collapse? If so, are there any remedies? I was thinking of trying a different brand of nipples on the Born Free bottles, because I like the bottles, but not sure if you can do that. I have a sample bottle of Avent and that nipple fits on the bottle, one day by accident I put it on a Born Free bottle since it looks identical. So my thought was to buy those nipples.
DS seems to struggle with it, but he is only 6 weeks old, so I do not think I should be advancing him to the level 2, right?
Any ideas?

Re: Born Free Level 1 Nipples Collapsing
Someone posted about this yesterday I believe. Yes, I noticed the same thing. I just pull the nipple out. He is not ready to move to level 2. My DH accidently used a level 2 and my DS nearly choked.
Someone mentioned that if you close the cap too tight this might lead to the nipple collapsing. I was going to try noting tightening it so much.
I don't see the problem switching brand nipples if you child doesn't mind the switch. But I am learning as I go myself so someone might have better input on that.
Good luck.

Thanks for the reply; I had also read somewhere about the tightening of the cap and when I did not tighten it, the bottle leaked

This definitely happens with the born free bottles. If I tighten it too much, it collapses, but if I loosen it just a little bit, it does the trick!

Re: Born Free Level 1 Nipples Collapsing
I actually posted about this born free dilemma yesterday and I too just switched out my born free nipples to the avent nipples. I was unable to open the hole with a hot sewing needle. I noticed the level one avent even let the rice cereal flow through it. (we just started a tbsp. of rice cereal in the bottle today and thats why i switched out the nipple)
*Target actually had born free and avent bottles and accessories on sale but i think the sale might have ended yesterday but its possible they could still have it on sale, so if you need to get avent or born free acessories you might want to check it out.
