Bottle question

We've been using the Dr. Brown's bottles since DS was 4 weeks old, we switched when he was having gas issues which I think were ultimately related to the formula and not the bottles. Anyway, he is almost 8 months and I'm tired of cleaning all the stupid parts! So DH asked me if we could switch (anything to encourage him to clean more bottles!), but I don't know what to switch to. I have an Avent bottle that I got for free when I was PG and he does fine with that but all the reviews of them say they leak. I was also looking at the Gerber Nuk bottles since he uses the Nuk pacis, but they are hard to find!! Any other suggestions?

Re: Bottle question

Gerber Clearviews. BPA free, and I never had issues with leakage. One collar, one nipple, and one bottle.

Re: Bottle question

I've been using Avent from the beginning.

They only leak for me when I overtighten them (over tightening squeezes the base of the nipple creating spaces). And when I use the bottles with the disposable liners, they've never ever leaked on me because the nipple is put into a plastic case so tightening doesn't affect it.

Yes, they are a pain to clean, but IMO, a small price to pay if your baby does well on them. Something like this would not make me switch.

However to answer your question, I have also heard good things about Avent.

Yeah I used to think the same thing, everyone always complained about the parts but I didn't find it too bad. But after 8 months I now know what they were talking about Chat Icon It would take me half the time to wash them if the parts weren't there! And I've tried putting everything in the dishwasher and I never feel like they get clean enough so I'm always handwashing them Chat Icon
