Bottles Question for BTDT moms...
How many of the different sized bottles should I have on-hand in the beginning? (not sure if I will BF, so keep that in mind....)
4 ozers, and then the 8 or 11 ozers?

I used four ounces up until about 9 weeks. Now I use 8oz. I have a zillion of them because I don't have a dishwasher and have to handwash them. So I have alot so I can just toss them in the sink and wash them all when DD goes to bed.

We used the playtex insert bottles.
We had 3 of the 4oz bottles and 11 of the 8 oz bottles. (By the time we got to the 8 oz ones, we were sick of washing all those nipples every so often so would set them up for 2 days).

This is what I would like to use, too...
I already have 3 4 ozers, and 4, 8 ozers...should I buy more? i do have other brands of bottles as back up in case baby hate them...

My son is 4 weeks tomorrow and I packed away my 4 ounce bottles last week. I had two 4oz bottles - and 6 8oz bottles. I know that he'll be using the 8ounce ones for the rest of the time so that's why I wanted 6. HTH!

i only used the small bottles (they're 6oz with Born Free) for 1 month. i had 8 of them and it was perfect for 1 day.
I have 9 of the large bottles and I still use 3 of the small ones (his bedtime bottle with cereal in it is only about 5.5oz + cereal, so it still fits in a small one.) 12 bottles total is enough to have 1 set in use and 1 set in the dishwasher.
AND if youre using the born free bottles, DON'T BUY LEVEL 1 NIPPLES. All the bottles come with level 1s and DS only used them for 3 weeks. We went right to level 2.

I had 6 of both the 4 oz and 8 oz size. I opted for glass and hand washed mine. I'm not going to lie and say it was an enjoyable task but it has to be done eventually no matter how many bottles you have!
