I hate sweater vests, and DS hates button downs, so with that I've picked out a sweater from Jcrew's kidsline, crewcuts, and I just havent decided what pants to pair it with

I dont even think I am putting them in the typical red or green colors this Christmas. I like the blue selection they have at Children's Place...I may go with that.

This is my justification for buying what I like when I see it...who knows when something good will come along again for these boys 
Thanksgiving will be a button down and cords.
Christmas will either be a sweater or a vest a dress shirt over jeans.

Boys are so hard, i usually do a button down and dark jeans for my stepson (12 yrs old), I would like to pair it with a v-neck but he doesnt want too. I bought this for a christening:

I like this shirt but its  (available from toddler to big boys)
Gap Sweaters:
I found a sweater similiar to this at TJ maxx in Navy Blue and put a button down underneath for him last year

Well I actually still kind of like sweater vests but wanted to do something different...I'm thinknig of some of these options but have not found what I am looking for yet:
layering--someone posted some great Ralph Lauren outfits--onesie, button down and half zip sweater, which paired with some dress pants would look great
Or a button down with one of those cute ties--accessorize ;)
Or even a light pull over sweater with a blazer- I've seen a few out there that look pretty nice and not the typical red and green
Or button down with cute sweater-- I am really liking the Gap sweaters
I also thinking of trying plaid pants --as long as they don't look kooky....I think I saw some grey ones and brown ones in Gap or Old Navy for holiday time...it's at least something different...
Can you tell I"ve been looking, LOL!
