Boy name... need some opinions.

This poor kid still doesn't have a name. Our girl name has been set in stone for months.

Here's the dilemma. I had very close friend, like a brother who died earlier this year. We were going to give the boy his first name as a middle name. Problem is, we can't seem to agree on a first name that "goes."

Here's my question. Do you think it still honors my friend if we use his initials? So for an example (since we are not revealing the names)
My friend's name was John Daniel, and we named the baby Joseph Dylan. Or possibly even Joseph Daniel. We actually were thinking of using my friend's middle name because we like the way it fits.

I just need opinions on all of this I don't know what to do. I really want to honor his memory, but I also want DH and to agree on a name we both love.

If you use the same initials as your friend's, it would still honor him. DH wanted to name DD after his grandfather so we used the first inital of his name which was "S"

yea, I think using your friend's initials is still honoring them, especially since its your intention.

I think that it would be great to use the same initials as your friend. I think that is very sweet of you both to do that.

I like Joseph Daniel or Joseph Dylan!

You can honor someone in any way that is meaningful to you. If the same initials are significant to you, then it is very appropriate.
