Anyone bring their children to this practice? Can you share any feedback?

Re: Branch Pediatrics- Smithtown
I used to. One of my children has a chronic condition that I felt wasn't getting the attention it deserved, so we switched to a smaller practice.
Until then, I had been happy with the care. They were great for my other (very healthy) son.

Re: Branch Pediatrics- Smithtown
They are a father/son team, along with many other Drs (5-6?).
Looking back, most of the negative experiences Ive had there, have to do with the office staff and how they handle things. a few of them are wonderful, but the one or two sour grapes ruin it for the rest.
As far as the Dr's they all have been great so far, sometimes more layed back about things than Id expect, but I usually make my own call on things if I disagree, and they are totally fine with it.
So if youre looking for very layed back "Ah he's fine" Drs, this is the place and even with # 3, Im more neurotic than the dr with many things.
hope that helped.

Re: Branch Pediatrics- Smithtown
I use this practice for my kids.
I will be honest - I am not a big fan of the father-son doctors. I think the father is way too "old school" in his approach to children, and I didn't care for the way he handled my son during an appointment when we were discussing potty training. So, we don't see him anymore, unless it's an emergency sick visit and he's the only one available.
The son is alright - a bit cocky, if you ask me - but, he's fine if he's the only one available.
On a regular basis, we see Dr. D and I have found him to be great with my children. He respects them and his approach is always kind-hearted. I went through some challenges with my daughter during her infancy, but I always felt that he provided proactive care and was very reassuring to me, as the worried parent.
