Bras without an underwire...and a bra fitting...
I had a double mastectomy in March and my implant surgery in July.
I need to go for a proper bra fitting...and I can now only wear bras without an underwire. I always wore bras with an underwire in my pre-surgery days and I really don't want to spend a lot. I used to buy most of my bras at Target or H&M. I'm not sure if either place carries ones without an underwire  I haven't been to either store in awhile, so maybe someone on here knows.
Help! Where can I go for a fitting? Can I do it myself at home? And where can I buy inexpensive bras without an underwire?

i got fitted at nordstrom for free, and i did not have to buy anything. as for bras, i know it is not ideal buying online, but i like the bravado wire free bra i bought on bare necessities.com. good luck! bra buying is annoying
ETA: duh. bravado bras are nursing bras. but the site has a huge selection of wire-free

YES you can do it yourself at home and it is a good fitting. Here is the link that I used:

I've purchased a few bras w/out wires from Marshalls and Kohls (during a sale). I like Vanity Fair & Maidenform. They're good bras but not $$$$.

I feel like when ever I am looking for bras WITH underwire, I keep coming across ones that don't have underwire.
Kohls has them--Warners, Bali, Vanity Fair.

There's a place in Woodbury called Mary's. They do it all, and they've seen it all. Not stuffy and so so good at what they do. Buy one bra, then get them at H&M for the rest of them!

I would get a fitting somewhere like nordstroms and then go to target. They have lots without underwires.

Kohls carries
Warner non side effect Wireless bra. It's a great bra.
I got it by accident I thought it had a wire. I loved it so much I went back and got 2 more. It's so comfortable but offers great support.

There's a place in E. Northport that does fittings and sells bras (specifically for cancer patients). forget the name. Also, check with your insurance to see if they'll cover anything.

its important to buy a bra that fits well, such the place in woodbury as mentioned above or in Hicksville on Broadway, Georgettes, they will measure and fit the bra.
Except for Macys most department stores do not measure and fit.

You can call to ask. I know I saw it on the business cards there when I was bra shopping.
