I just read an article about the chemicals they use and the side effects they can have on some people. Read a lot before trying. I have done Japanese for about 5 years now...I would personally wait until more people start doing and it the kinks (no put intended) are ironed out!
ditto.
It is NOT chemical free, which is what many people think.

My girlfriend told me there was an article about this in the NY Times along with a listing of all the salons that do it.
There were definitely a few in Nassau and in Suffolk.
