breakfast or lunch served for this bday party time slot? opinions please!

Ok I am thinking that I am going to book DD's party at My Gym. The only time slot they have left open on the day Id like to do it is 10:30-12.

as a parent bringing your DC to the party...would you expect/like bagels/muffins or pizza to be served? My Gym suggested bagels but I think that may look wierd for a bday party? I think we will probably be eating close to 11:30?

thoughts?Chat Icon

I say bagels because they could be for breakfast or lunch.

We just went to a party that started at 11am and they served lunch (pizza). I would think most kids would have eaten breakfast already KWIM?

I think most parties they play first then have a set time in the party room to eat. I would call them to just make sure though! For instance at Emma's party, it's at 1:30 to 3:30 and they will eat the last half hour. That's how it was at Nicholas' Safe T Swim party too.

I would say if they are going to eat around 11:30 go with the pizza. Anytime before then I'd go with bagels. I don't think its weird at all. I have been to a few parties that did that.

I used to work at Chuck E. Cheese and for the 10:30AM parties we served pizza. (kids ate around 11:15-11:30AM).

I think Pizza is the norm for that time.

lunch!

This is what I did.. I had pizza for the kids and then I had snacks for the grown ups (sodas, chips, dips)..

In your case, maybe I'd get some dunkin donut coffee boxes for the adults and maybe some munchkins- but I wouldn't go overboard.

The one thing the people at My Gym said was to not get too much food b/c the kids are just too busy playing- and he was spot on!

I would say it has to be lunch...they would have already eaten breakfast by that time.
