We are SO in for it.
what do you mean? i have not been watching, are they coming after us?
Not directly...BUT with N. Korea, Venezuela, Iran, and slew of other countries HATING the US, if one of them has a nuclear weapon and their "president" is a certifiable nutjob, that is not a great combination.

Re: Breaking on CNN - North Korea Nuke Test
Let's face it, 9/11 was over 5 years ago, and I hate to say it, we are "due" very shortly for something to happen. And it isnt going to be a plane flying into a building. It is going to be MUCH worse.
I am not trying to scare anyone, but this is what I feel, and I feel it will be during Bush's presidency.

I will be praying that something does not happen. BTW, lots of these countries HATED us before Bush became president, N.Korea included.
Prez is speaking now...

It's really just my opinion, but I feel there were other plans in the works even the day 9-11 happened. I do not think it will be New York though.

Hawaii and LA (west coast) are closest to N. Korea.

This is true, but I think it's gotten so much worse since Bush has been in office. I think going into Iraq has made the US look like a big bully with a score to settle.

Re: Breaking on CNN - North Korea Nuke Test
it is most likely true that they did test, North Korea is not the type to bluff when it comes to something like this. Their leader is completely delusional and off his rocker.
It is scary, but, it is nearly impossible for them to reach us even if they do have nuclear weapons. There is to great a distance between us and them, no missles or weapons of mass destruction have that much of a distance range and it would be impossible for them to transport them by ship or airplane and not be picked up on our radar. Nuclear weapons have a radioactive heat trail and would be detected by our radars and there for destroyed before they could reach us. They are more of a threat to Asia then to us.
Remember, Pearl Harbor was in the 40's. We were not 1/10 as technilogically advanced as we are now and they were not nuclear weapons. They were Kamicazi bombers using regular missles. That type of attack could NEVER happen now.
Also - North Korea is a VERY small, 3rd world, opressed country with a weak and minute military. They rely soeley on China for support, supplies and food. This act has now ticked China off and they is not something they want to do given their current situation. If they continue to defy the UN and the rest of the world, they will lose China as allies and then they will be in HUGE Trouble.
Keep in mind that as sad and horrific as it is, if we are forced to, all we need to do is drop one Nuc on them and it will destroy their entire nation and eventhough I am not a fan of Pres. Bush, If he is pushed to it he will not allow them an opportunity to kill americans, therefore he will annahialate them before they have a chance.

I agree. we have more to worry about w/ the Koreans sharing info w. terrorists... that's where the danger lies.

Exactly! It was like a sales presentation for Iran and other countries. A commercial of what they have to offer, so to speak. Think about it...if N. Korea was selling nukes on the black market, they would not really have a need for China's subsidies. They would have money, it would be their most valuable "export". The problem is that no one knows how vast their nuclear program is. Do they have one missile or 100, 000? Who knows? If they sell nukes to Iran, terrorists, Cuba (who hosted the anti-American conference last month) things can get very serious, very quickly.
