Re: Breast Biopsy- titanium chip/marker
I have 3. I never had any issues with them, but I think 'in my head' I thought I could feel them somehow after I had them put in.
At the time, it was told to me that was how they do it now, etc. I never knew or realized I had the option to opt out if it.
Now that I know that, in the future if I ever had to get one, I would do A LOT more research on it.
You can google them and see a lot of stories people have told having issues with them.

So are you saying, if given the choice, now you would opt out?

No not necessarily , just saying that I would investigate it more on my own before having one out in.
I did ask my breast surgeon who I adore and trust and she said there is nothing to worry about.
I had a different dr at the time I had the markings put in.

Re: Breast Biopsy- titanium chip/marker
I have one in my breast and have no issues what so ever. I am also and xray tech for for 20 yrs and never heard any of my mammo pts complain about the clips either but I am sure there are pts out there that do have problems....any time you put a foreing object in the body there is always a chance of something happening.

Re: Breast Biopsy- titanium chip/marker
I have one marker and I don't remember what breast it's in.
This just reminded me to go for a mammo. I'm due.
