breastfeeding BTDT mommies
do you recommend bringing your boppy pillow to the hospital or is it not necessary?

Re: breastfeeding BTDT mommies
I didn't....but I am a germ freak and didn't want it there.
If I can remember I just riased my bed and then used my pillow under her.
But I used it all the time at home!

Re: breastfeeding BTDT mommies
I did bring mine to the hospital and then when I got home put a different boppy case cover on it and washed the one from the hospital because I was sleeved from the thought of hospital germs on it. I found it to be extremely useful at the hospital while I was learning to get DS to latch and certain positions.

I brought mine and it was so helpful, especially since I wound up with a c section.

Same here...just wash or change the cover when you get home.

Re: breastfeeding BTDT mommies
I didn't bring mine and had trouble finding a comfortable position. When I got home and used it for the first time, I wished I had thought to bring it with me.

I didn't bring mine, but had DH get it the first time he went home. I found it helpful to have.

This is EXACTLY what I did! And I also thought it was great to have!

Re: breastfeeding BTDT mommies
Initially I didn't bring mine because I didn't think i'd need it, but after being in the hospital for a day or two and having trouble with breastfeeding I sent DH to get it and it helped me greatly.

I loved my boppy !!! but not for nursing I never used it for nursing To answer your question I wouldn't bring it you can use a regular pillow and it serves the same purpose.

Re: breastfeeding BTDT mommies
I had my dh bring it to the hospital. I loved my boppy. As far as germs go, the cover should be removable so you can wash it when you get home.

Ditto.
My DS was in the NICU and I had to nurse him in a regular chair using a hospital pillow. Didn't miss my boppy at all. I actually never really use it now that I am home.

I forgot my boppy and stacked a bunch of hospital pillows. DH eventually brought it from home for me, and I was so glad he did!

Re: breastfeeding BTDT mommies
Honestly I preferred using pillows. I don't think I got any use of it there and I had a C-section. Next time I will be leaving it at home.

Re: breastfeeding BTDT mommies
I didn't use a boppy, i use the breast friend... and that thing I wish I brought to the hospital, so that the LC there could show me how to use it to breast feed.

Re: breastfeeding BTDT mommies
I brought it but my hospital had My Breast Friend there and I ended up using that and liking it much better. I've really only used the Boppy for tummy time and as a pillow for myself
