Breastfeeding Class today (South Nassau)
It was great! DH couldn't make it, but it was no big deal. The lactation consultant was very informative and helpful. I highly recommend those who will be attempting to BF for the first time to attend such a class. It helped to give me the drive to make this work! I still hate that DH can't help with feedings at first, but will manage for the first few weeks.

Do you have to be delivering at South Nassau to take the class? How much was it? How long was it? I am interested in taking it, especially since you seem to have enjoyed it (everyone else hasn't thus far!)

I don't think you have to be delivering there b/c they had space when you signed in for your doctor's name and hospital. It was $35 for 2 hours. You just need to call the Parent Child Education Department at 377-5310. If you have to leave a message, they do get back to you. HTH!
