Breastfeeding moms - a question
Hi all!
When in public breastfeeding do you use anything to cover the baby while on the breast?
If yes is it just a blanket? Or something more?

Re: Breastfeeding moms - a question
yep, i use a thin receiving blanket - cheap and quick, i put one corner of the blanket under my nursing tank and then spread it out, put baby under and let him go to town

Re: Breastfeeding moms - a question
I never breastfeed in public, but i did buy something in case i did. I got it from target, it wraps around my shoulders and keeps everything covered.

Re: Breastfeeding moms - a question
Most of the time I wear DC in a sling so it was simple. If not I am just discreet

Re: Breastfeeding moms - a question
I have a nursing shawl that I use and love it! It covers everything. I'm not coordinated enough to use a blanket. It always falls off! Maybe I'm doing something wrong with that

invest in one of those big pins (you know, the ones that you use for cloth diapers back in the day)....take the receiving blanket and pin 2 corners together- then slip it right over your neck...wah-lah!! a nursing cover- conveniant for the store, the mall, the park....

That is a great tip, but sometimes I lift my shirt up, and I don't want my back exposed. KWIM?

Re: Breastfeeding moms - a question
mine never let me cover his head. I bought 2 different things, he did not let me use either one....no blankets either. I just face a corner and do it quickly.

Re: Breastfeeding moms - a question
I would wrap a blanket around him -- he didn't like it over his head, but it gave me enough privacy, especially if I was wearing a nursing shirt.
