breastfeeding moms that have not gotten their periods yet, can you still get pregnant?
this could be a dumb question but just wondering if you can still get pregnant without a period ( due do bfiing)? if so what are your chances?

yes.
this happened to my step sister- she got pregnant but never got her period.. i guess she ovulated but then got pregnant.

To answer, yes and it happened to my friend when her DD was 3 months old. She hadn't gotten AF yet but was Oing. Her kids are 13 months apart.

Yup. You will usually ovulate before you get your first period.

Absolutely!
The chances of getting PG are slim IF, and ONLY if:
1/ AF has not returned
2/ You are EBF - not pumping, not giving solids, nothing - just breastfeeding
3/ DC is under 6 months
You are going to ovulate before you get your first period - there's no sure way to know when - so you're def. risking PG if you're using BF as BC.

Well for me...baby #2 is on the way!
I exclusively pumped and didn't BF. I was curious about when my period was going to come back, so I made an appointment with my OB/GYN for a check-up (DS was about 9 months old). He called me to his office before examining me and said, "You do know you're pregnant, right?"

My SIL got pregnant when my niece was only 5 months and she BF. Never did get her period.

This is why I am scared to death..DH doesn't like condoms and I don't want to go on medication..and I am paranoid of getting pregnant again..still no AF..I exclusively pump.

Why is it different if you pump???
I wish I could find where I found this originally - but I believe it's because a pump really cannot substitute for nursing (meaning it doesn't have the same effect on your body). For example, many women say they pump and get only a couple of ounces - but it's really no measure for what your body is really producing.

Yes you definitely can b.c you don't know when you are Oing I know a number of people who got pregnant when BFing.
