Breastfeeding to bottle issues
Ok, so DD will take Born Free sometimes. She screams other times but eventually takes 2-3 oz. now I know at 9 weeks she should be eating MUCH more than that. I feel like she goes on a hunger strike waiting for the boob back....should I try another bottle? I have seen and heard about Adiri bottles, but they are $12.50 each so I don't know if I should waste the money trying or not. I have a wedding to go to in a few weeks and I go back to work in 5 weeks, and I am SO stressing that she will starve during the day and wait for me and then eat all night long
Any suggestions from BTDT Mom's?
Thanks!

Re: Breastfeeding to bottle issues
We tried buying single bottles of all types, just to try them. We also bought every type of nipple out there, just to try them. It took a lot of trial and error, but we finally found what worked.
Also, DS only started drinking more than 3-4 ounces in a bottle at 10 months. (Yes, months, not weeks.) He liked his smaller meals. Some BF babies are just that way.

Re: Breastfeeding to bottle issues
Ugh - I feel your pain. When DS was very young - 3-6 weeks he took the Medela bottles. Then I started exclusively nursing and around week 9 we tried to reintroduce the bottle. He wanted no part of it. I bought every single bottle out there, and after 3 very painful weeks he finally took Dr. Browns, which is the same nipple as Medela. I think you might want to try switching it up but dont go crazy. It's more likely that she just prefers the boob. I waited until my son was hungry and happy and he ended up finally taking the bottle.
ETA: My son was always a snacker and only took 2-3 ounces at a time. He's 9 months now and he'll take anywhere from 4-8 ounces but closer to 4 is more the norm.

Re: Breastfeeding to bottle issues
DS liked the Nuby Bottle/Cup when we made the transition to exclusively formula. Now he takes Avent bottles but it was tough.
He wouldn't take a bottle if I was within 20 feet of him. I think he could SMELL the boob - seriously! I had to have my mom or DH give it to him when we were weening.

Ok, maybe that is the case b/c I keep reading that formula babies are taking 5-6 oz!
