Breathable Bumper

Anyone use one?
I just got one for Alexandra's crib, it just seems safer to me.
Her original crib bumper was SO puffy, I mean, it must have been 4 inches thick, I do not see how that can be safe for a baby!
So although it doesn't look as pretty anymore, I will certainly be able to sleep beter at night!Chat Icon

Re: Breathable Bumper

i have the breathable bumpers also. I agree it does not look as pretty as her original bumpers, but it is one less thing for me to worry about at night.

Re: Breathable Bumper

What do these look like? Could you post a pic? Sydney's bumper was thin but I took if off just to avoid any potential issues.

These are them, they are a thin bumper almost like a mesh type.

I got mine at BRU.

Re: Breathable Bumper

Just wanted to add that the package says "fits most cribs". We have a sleigh crib and the larger bumper for the 3 sides is just alittle too short but we added more velcro and it worked.

Yeah, actually, we have a convertible/sleigh type crib, and we have a couple of spaces from the bumper.Chat Icon
In one of their pics, it shows a couple of spaces as well, I figure it's ok while she's still this small, but we'll have to adjust it when she gets a little bigger. Adding the velcro should do the trick.

question about these...someone I know tried putting them on a crib, and she said that it was too loose. How do you make it tighter? Thanks!

Re: Breathable Bumper

I have them. I bought them well after Emily turned a year because once she got her leg stuck in the crib and it wasn't fun. I couldn't keep the original bumpers in becasue she was climbing on them and I was afraid she'd figure out how to climb out of the crib. I wanted something to protect her from getting her leg caught again. They are good because she doesn't get her leg stuck anymore and freak out. I am not that crazy how they look. Mine didn't go on as nicely as the ones in the pic. The bumpers don't stay up that well. I am constantly pulling them up and velcroing them to try and get them tighter.
