bridesmaid dresses
Do you save bridesmaid dresses from weddings you were in. I have a few in my closet and feel bad about getting rid of them...but they take up soooo much room!

Re: bridesmaid dresses
I donated mine to an organization that was collecting dresses for prom for underprivledged teenagers. I was never going to wear them, I loved most of them, but still. I figured they'd go to good use. BTW, I really want to start a similar project here. If anyone has any ideas how to start a charity, let me know. THX!!

I donated one onece myself, and I have a few more Id like to donate. I am going to check with my church about this. Maybe we can start something, maybe include some wedding dresses if girls are willing to part with them.

I'd love to do this. My friend works with Priceless Gown Project in Baltimore. I'd love to do something like this here.

Re: bridesmaid dresses
Ok ladies I spoke with my aunt who is very involved with a church. She says that there is a thrift shop that is run by the church and all items are donated and sold for profit for the church.
She also said she is going to speak to the woman at the church who organizes weddings and see if maybe there is something that can be organized for all those unusable BM dresses and old wedding dresses.
