WR: bridesmaid dresses

Hi ladies,
My FSIL has finally asked me to be a bm and now i have to get a dress.

My first question is, if i buy online instead of a store, which are the best and least expensive websites?

My 2nd question is, if you used Saison Blanche for your bm dresses, how do the sizes run? I have to get style 2065.

TIA!

you should go on LIW and post, or if you don't want to join, search and I am sure you will find a lot of info! HTH

I'd suggest going to a dress shop that carries the dress so you can try it on, and even get fitted if you have to so you know what size to get, whether you order it online or not.

Re: WR: bridesmaid dresses

Are you all wearing the same color?

I just ask b/c if so, it is recommended you order them all together, so they call coem from the same dye lot...

Re: WR: bridesmaid dresses

also remember to consider the alterations. if you get a gown online - you may save money on the gown but then if you have to go to a regular seamtress to get the dress altered it can definitely get pricey.

maybe, to compare, try finding prices online for the dress and then try a place like the wedding center, wedding world in commack or burton's in melville to order the dress b/c not only do they give you a good price on the dress but they'll cap the alterations, no matter what you need, at like 45-50 dollars.

hope that helps!!

Re: WR: bridesmaid dresses

i asked my fsil about the dyelot issue and she said that since the dresses are black, she doesnt care if they're all ordered from the same store.

it would be a big pain for me to go to the store w/ her b/c she lives in the suburbs of philly.

i live in NJ now, and my fsil gave me a list of all the stores in nj that carry the dress she wants
