Bringing DC's friend on vacation- $ question
I booked a weekend at Great Wolf for my family. DD is an only child and has a best friend who lives down the block who I invited along.
Her mom, who is a good friend of mine, wants to know how much to give us for her part of the reservation and I don't want to take any money but I don't want to insult her an overstep. I figured I'd tell her to bring pocket money when we actually go on the trip. So how do I go about this?

I would just tell the mom that it's your treat and if her DD wants to bring some pocket money for the gift shop etc then she is free to do that. Have fun!

Since there are a million other activities there, like Magiquest, mini golf, ropes course, etc., I would suggest the "Paw or Pup Pass" they offer. Maybe show her a copy of what it includes and ask if her DD would be interested, then I'm sure she will offer to pay for it. That way the stuff is pretty much "prepaid"

Thanks for the tip, oddly it does not seem like they offer this at GWL New England, maybe because it's smaller, or maybe I overlooked something. I ended up telling her to give her pocket money, when the trip gets closer we'll probably talk numbers.

They had it last year at that location. The indoor ropes course is actually free there though

I wouldn't ask for anything. Personally, we don't do gift shops bc I hate junk, but that's a decent idea I guess. I just feel like if you offer to take a friend, you pay.
