I don't think any of it is that surprising.
Things are different up there than they are here.
I do wish he had finished HS though.

Dropping out of HS is a mistake. Also, this kid's life is now totally different..not just for the reason of the baby. It's a double whammy. Now he has a blackberry so the campaign can tell him what to do..every move he makes.
Toto, we're not in Kansas anymore.

Do we know that he didn't have a blackberry before? His life would be different even if she weren't pregnant IMO. Even friend's of Sarah have different lives now. Friends of Baracks lives are different too. Lots of friends, pastors & relatives on both sides have been looked at by the press. My life would be different too if someone I was closely associated with was running for VP.

Re: Bristol Palin's baby daddy speaks out!
I wish both Bristol & her BF all the luck in the world. But can’t help but feel sad for them, the same way I would feel for any young teenagers about to enter into parenthood. Being a parent is the most amazing blessing anyone could experience but its HARD work. And it means giving so much of yourself, your time, your life. It also mean giving up on a lot of opportunities, I firmly believe that a young person should have a life of their own before they have children and/or get married, for example a chance to finish high school, go to college, travel somewhere out side of their own little world, maybe even live on their own and understand what it means to take care of yourself before you take care of someone else. A marriage, well I also think is a great institution when its done at a mature age, I think that who most of us are at 17 are not who we are at say 25 or 30. That is not to say that 2 people cannot grow together but I think most of the time if they start out at 17, chances are they will grow in different directions.
And his Myspace page, well I don’t believe his friends created it and he had no clue about it, but again, we must remember this is a 17 year old BOY.
As for him being forced into marriage, well I think there is definitely some of that, but I think 2 teenagers in love don’t need too much prodding, they are probably thrilled that they now get to play house. Again all politics aside I wish them all the best, they will need it.
Being 17 is so young, hopefully they will make it, but the odds are against them.

I don't know about the Blackberry but it seems unlikely since he is a teenager in Wasilla that hunts, fishes and now works in an oil plant..(I think that's what it was)

I also think it's sad that he dropped out of HS. That, to me, sends a terrible message. Granted, it's different up there, but I'm surprised that the Palin family is accepting that. Does anyone know if Bristol is going to finish school?

Re: Bristol Palin's baby daddy speaks out!
Aside from all the other stuff, I find it somewhat sad that he didn't register to vote in time. seems odd since his future mother-in-law is on a ticket running for the VP.. you'd think maybe someone would've made sure that all the people in her life would vote!

if the apprenticeship was a can't wait for graduation thing - I can see taking the GED...it's difficult getting an electrician job. i hope that was it.
Either way - leave the kids alone! They don't belong in the political race.

Re: Bristol Palin's baby daddy speaks out!
I do hope he gets his GED, and Bristol finishes high school too. You really can't do much of anything without a HS diploma these days.
Also sad he did not register to vote! You would think his future MIL would see that all family members can vote?
