Britax Decathlon
Anyone have this? Is it bigger than the Marathon or does it just have more safety features? I was going to get another Marathon but I see this one online for much cheaper.

I'm definitely out of the car seat brands. I thought this was a post about a race while carrying a baby in a car seat.

I just bought it last week...I didn't really compare to the Marathon, but, I did notice the Decathlon had an extra infant cushion which I don't think the Marathon had. BTW, where did you find it cheaper? As far as I saw, the Decathlon was slightly more $ than the Marathon (maybe $20 or so).

Oops...sorry...I meant to say I didn't really compare the two of them....I just got the Decathalon b/c of the extra infant cushion. I honestly don't think there is much of a difference btwn the two of them though. Just make sure you have enough room in your car...these things are HUGE!
Thanks for the info on the websites! I still have to get 2 more carseats and I'll prob order from one of those places.

If you can get the decathalon for that price i'd go for it! It is Britax's step up car seat -- so it's a step up from the marathon as far as I'm aware -- and that's a great price for them!
ETA: I just went onto those websites and I love that first funky print that is being discontinued! The Tribecca -- I LOVE it! I wish I had seen this a few weeks ago before we got our Marathon!

I have both. I have the decathlon in my car and the marathon in my husbands. I did pay a little more for the decathalon. To be honest, I like the marathon better. I have a hard time tightening the straps on the Decathalon. My husband thinks I'm a fool and has no problem. It has a button you press in when you tighten instead of the lever you pull up on the marathon. I guess it should be easier but not to me. Either way they are both great seats.
