channel 11 just reported Britney Spears was soooooooo moved by Madonna that she wants to add a disadvantaged child to her family.
Its almost like its the new fad,

There is a lot of controvery now about Madonna's adoption. First, the baby has a father who is alive and wants the baby back. Second, it looks like she "bought" the baby.
These poor children. I know its great that they are safe. I just hope that they are loved.
They are like the handheld dogs of last year- It looks like they are becoming an "accessory".

This topic is all over the news, how its becoming such a FAD....this sickens me. Howeverm on the other hand, if these people truely love the child, they are most likely much better off than where they came from.
If it's true that there is a parent that wanted to keep the child, and a rich/famous person bought the child anyway...well...that is just beyond unacceptable!

To be honest, I think the idea of it being a "fad" -for me- started recently with Madonna. If what they are saying is true, she should be ashamed of herself.

Where did you see this? Everything I have read has said the mother died and the father is 100% with the adoption because he couldn't take care of him.

Where did you see this? Everything I have read has said the mother died and the father is 100% with the adoption because he couldn't take care of him.
I heard this also yesterday on the View. The father put the baby in an orphanage. Madonna has said she will bring the baby back to visit and so he can see where he is from.

Because Madonna didn't do it first. Angelina adopted first, so now that Madonna adopted too it's the "trendy celebrity thing" . Didn't realize 2 people doing something makes it "trendy".

I don't think Madonna was being trendy.
I think Britney should look out for Shar's kids and encourage her DH to see them a little more than her does before she goes and gets some more.

I think that the media is latching on to this because it seems like she's trying to buy the baby instead of waiting the requisite 18 months to file everything legally.
And Britney - she could either encourage her husband be a better father to all of his own children (stop going to Vegas on your wife's dime) or we can hope that if the story is true that she'll give a good home to whomever she adopts.

NOW I know rosie is friends with madonna.... BUT
Rosie said yesterday on the view that Madonna had to go through the fingerprinting and the backround checks. BUT there is not waiting list for that country.
