Britney Spears in the upcoming issue of Rolling Stone
Comeback queen Britney Spears is all smiles in the upcoming issue of Rolling Stone magazine!
Unlike the old whacked out Britney, the newly reformed one appears to let her manager do the talking. In fact, in the attached article, reporter Jenny Eliscu – who brands the process of interview the pop star a “rigorously micromanaged process” — writes: “We were never left alone together, and my questions had to be submitted ahead of time for approval.”
So what does Britney (or the people behind her) have to say about the new album? “This is going to be the album that cements her legend status,” says her manager, Larry Rudolph. As for the reason behind the guarded interview? “”Her job is to be Britney Spears,” he adds. “And unfortunately, that job bleeds into her personal life and creates this odd situation where she needs to have security people around her all the time.”
Luckily, Britney is permitted to speak when grilled about her two boys. “Every time they come to visit me, I think about how they’re such special people,” she says. “They are starting to learn words like ’stupid,’ and Preston says the f-word now sometimes. He doesn’t get it from us. He must get it from his daddy. I say it, but not around my kids.”
Brit feeling like an old fart: “I feel like an old person now. I do! I go to bed at, like, 9:30 every night, and I don’t go out or anything.”
Brit gets to go on dates, supervised by her assistant, Brett, and Rudolph’s colleague, Adam Leber: “Right when we got there, we just knew it was just bad. He looked like an older version of Harry Potter, but skinnier. … So I had to get dessert first. And the other date I had, the guy was really, really tall and a lot older. … We’re trying to ask him questions, like, ‘OK, you’re into martial arts, so what kind of martial arts are you into?’ And he was like, ‘Oh, all kinds.’ … But you know how silly we are, so we were just cracking up.”

She looks pretty, but the shirt pulled up is weird - why not just wear a half shirt if you want to show off your stomach?

ITA. I also think the whole look and outfit is a bit early 90's or something.
The hair, the shirt, the light wash jeans... something looks dated about the whole thing....

The woman who inerviewed her for RS was on the Today show this morning. She said BS "looked happy" during one part of the interview, when she was dancing. She said she was limited in her questions, NOT allowed to ask about ANYTHING leading up to the breakdown. Very selected questions for BS. She said their was ALWAYS someone with her, and she was just blah.
