Broadway last minute tickets?
DH wants to go to a broadway show today. Since I'm not a show person, where can I get last minute tickets? He isn't too fussed about seats or which show. He doesn't want to pay more than $100 per ticket. We will be in the city in the afternoon if that helps, but if you have any website suggestions, that'd be nice too.

TKTS Discount Booths offer tickets to Broadway and Off Broadway musicals and plays at up to 50% off. With dozens of productions on sale every day, there’s something for everyone!
TDF operates three TKTS Discount Booths in New York City
1. The Times Square Booth sells day-of-performance tickets only.
2. The South Street Seaport Booth sells tickets to evening performances on the day of the performance and matinee tickets the day before.
3. The Downtown Brooklyn Booth sells tickets to evening performances on the day of the performance and matinee tickets the day before as well as tickets to Brooklyn performing arts events.
TKTS Times Square, TKTS South Street Seaport and TKTS Downtown Brooklyn accept credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover), cash, traveler's checks or TKTS Gift Certificates.
(credit card gift cards are not accepted at any TKTS Booth)
All locations sell tickets at 50%, 40%, 30% and 20% off full price (plus a $4.00 per ticket service charge, which helps support other TDF services and programs. Additional non-TDF charges may apply). Availability and ticket inventory change throughout the day and at the discretion of individual productions.
BASICALLY- you wait in line at one of these booths. They have a list of shows with discounted tickets. You tell them either which show you want to see or your price range or both and they will tell you what they have available that matches. The seats can be good or bad and the shows can be popular or unheard of sometimes, but you can pick out of what is available.

I too suggest the TKTS booth. The one in Times Square is right in the island and you stand in line for same day performances. They list what's available for that day. If you're in the city, it might be your best bet.

Another vote for the TKTS booth but go to the South Street Seaport one because it's less well-known.
You can also head to the box office directly. There are times they have throwback tickets (unclaimed tickets, cancelled tickets, etc). We saw a few concerts that way.
If you're willing to sit separately, I'm sure you'd even have better luck.

tkts is the best option, however it is for same day tickets only
you can also try http://www.broadwaybox.com/ for discount codes to some shows
