broadway shows... what days...??

hi girls!
my aunt goes to one of those ticket booth things in the city where they have certain shows for cheap that day.... what days of the week do they usually do this, and where are they located? sorry- i dn't know NYC too well.
DH and i both have off thursday and were looking to go into the city, so i was thinkin that might be something cool to try... thanks!

TKTS is located at 44th & B'way. They are open every day. Wednesday is Matinee day and there are shows at 2 and 3pm. The evening shows start at 8pm and the tickets go on sale at 3pm. We do this all the time and get to see great shows at great prices.

The earlier you get in line the more choice you will have of course. If you can't decide between 2 available shows, ask which seats are better and that can help you decide.

There is also a TKTS stand in the SOuth Street Seaport. I would recommend going there. The line isn't NEARLY as long. When I worked downtown (about 2 years ago), I would go. They open at 11. If you get there at 10:30 there may be a few people ahead of you. I BELIEVE they have the same shows and listings as the one in Times Square.
