Re: Brookhaven Beach Pass
I don't think there's anything you can do....from the town's point of view it's your father's car and it's in Islip not Brookhaven. Can you switch the registration to your name/address?

Re: Brookhaven Beach Pass
I thought all you had to do was show your license to show you live in Brookhaven at a Brookhaven beach.

It's $5 to park if you have your license but no parking sticker. If you're license shows you live OOT, then it's $15 or $20 I think.
Not sure if this would work, but I bought our stickers for our two cars and even though I had both registrations they could only physically put the one sticker on the car I was driving, they gave me the additional sticker for DH's vehicle with instructions on how to put it on. I noticed the clerk put DH's license plate number on the sticker, but I think it would easily rub off in the rain/elements, no? How will the town know if a valid sticker is on another vehicle? KWIM? Hint, hint...

Re: Brookhaven Beach Pass
According to this an extra sticker is available for free for one additional vehicle in the same household.
So your husband is entitled to two stickers.
Brookhaven Town announced on its website that it will be charging a $25 fee for a two-year resident permit to park at all of its beaches starting this week.
According to town spokesperson Jack Krieger, this is the first time Brookhaven has charged a parking fee at all of its manned parking facilities. The change mainly affects beaches and marinas and does not include pocket parks without collection booths.
The parking stickers can't be purchased onsite at the beach but Kreiger said not to worry if you get there with your car packed up for a day of fun in the sun and forgot to buy your permit. A $5 daily parking permit can be purchased at any time at area beach parking lots. With your receipt, the fee can then be applied toward the purchase of the two-year parking permit.
Krieger said that the money will go into Brookhaven Town's general fund. The anticipated revenue is around $625,000 for the season.
Stickers were made available as of Monday and they will be checked at marinas when they open on May 12. Beaches will begin checking for permits on Memorial Day weekend.
The fee to access Town boat ramps is not included in this resident parking permit.
Local beaches affected by this change include West Meadow Beach and Corey Beach. Marinas include Blue Point and Sandspit.
Krieger noted Thursday that several other towns on Long Island collect fees to park at beaches. A Town of Babylon beach pass is $35 a year. In the Town of Islip, residents purchase a town recreation card for $25 for three years.
Brookhaven residents can buy stickers now through Nov. 2 at the following locations:
Brookhaven Town Hall One Independence Hill, Farmingville (First Floor) Monday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., Tuesday – Friday 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Parks and Recreation Administration Building 286 Hawkins Road, Centereach (Centereach Pool Parking Lot) Monday – Friday 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., Wednesday nights 3 p.m. – 7 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. – Noon
Starting Tuesday, May 1 through Monday, September 3, stickers will be available at the following locations and times:
Brookhaven Aquatic Center (Mastic Pool) 300 Mastic Beach Road, Mastic Beach Monday – Friday 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. – Noon Henrietta Acampora Recreation Center 39 Montauk Highway, Blue Point Monday – Thursday 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., Friday 10 a.m. – 7 p.m., Saturday 8 a.m. – Noon Rose Caracappa Recreation Center 739 Route 25A, Mt. Sinai Monday – Friday 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. – Noon
A resident sticker will cost $25 for two years. An extra sticker is available for free for one additional vehicle in the same household.
Senior citizens age 60+ and handicapped stickers are available at a reduced rate of $15 for two years.
