Gates open 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Visitors age 16 and over must bring a photo ID.
Handicapped accessible
1-1/2 miles north of LIE Exit 68

Today they have a laser light show (amongst other things).

I took Nicholas to the laser light show today, it was AWESOME!! It was set to pop and rock music and just so cool I can't even explain it. He also did the thing where you touch the ball of electricity and your hair stands up. Since he doesn't have much hair they put a red pom pom on his head. It was hilarious!!
They said next week will be a lot of fun with the hands on science center being open to the public as well as the firehouse. So if you are looking for something free and fun to do, go! It's great for all ages.

My DS is just a newborn but I just wanted to bump and say how much I enjoy reading about the free activities that you find for your DC! I can't wait for my DS to be old enough to take advantage of them!

I've never been to the hands on science part, but I'm sure it is. Def. age appropriate just get to ride the fire truck next week  I saw a lot of little kids there for the laser light show. I didn't bring DD since she was at her dad's, but I think she would have liked it.
