Brown boots + black coat / jacket.
Is this an absolute no no?
All my boots are brown -varying shades of brown. I usually wear either a navy blue wool type coat, red duffle type jacket etc with them ...no black BUT I want a black down parka and I dont know if it will work with all these brown boots.
Thoughts??

Definitely lighter brown like tan or cognac is fine. darker brown, personal preference but I think you can do it.

Hmm I think it's okay, maybe depending on what kind of brown. I think a camel or chestnut color would go better than a chocolate brown color. But even then, I think you can get away with it. I don't really abide by many rules of fashion anyway.

I think it's a preference...but not mixing black and brown is the only fashion "rule" I stick to. I hate the look of it and wont ever mix them. But that's just me.
