Brown for a nursery?
our office is currently painted brown - i think it's too dark for a baby's room but my husband loves the color and doesn't want to change it - what do you think?

Re: Brown for a nursery?
I would leave it too, and add some pink to the room, both colors look great together!!

The bottom of my nursery is brown, the top is yellow. I love the combo together.

Re: Brown for a nursery?
I think the suggestions that the prior ladies have made are great. Brown will work for blue or pink...or yellow for that matter if you aren't finding out the sex.

turquoise looks fantastic with brown. pale blue will also work really well. I've seen some brown and blue crib sets too...if I remember where I'll post them so you can see.
I found a bunch of pics...

Re: Brown for a nursery?
i would consider brown if i was able to add it in with a lot of color with the accessories. I love brown but in my opinion i would say have it a light brown or beige color.
Whichever color you choose I am sure the baby room will look great!

Re: Brown for a nursery?
i love the color brown. there's just too many pastel colors attached to baby. i think the color would bring a modern touch. the crib, bed set, and other baby stuff will tie it all in.

Re: Brown for a nursery?
I personally think its too dark for a nursery, but if you want to leave it and maybe add some color to brighten it up then go for it.

Re: Brown for a nursery?
I like brown. Especially brown and pink but then I am having a girl. Her room is taype and ivory. Neutral colors. I think you can add an accent color and you should be fine-accent can be via bedding.
