I have & like a Britax Marathon. My sister has one for my niece also. I like that it goes up to 65 pounds. I find it easy to buckle, unbuckle & tighten the straps.
We also have a Graco Comfortsport in DH's & the baby sitters cars......I am not as crazy about them.....but he is infrequently in either of those cars.

I love my Britax Roundabout. I love that I only need one hand to get the clips open. I have Evenflo Triumph and although its comfortable, the clips are hard to close and open

I have this one and while I love it, if your DC is on the big size, I would recommend the Marathon. DS is a big baby and at 2 is nearly at the max weight!

I love my Recaro Como Convertible.
Recaro is a manufacturer of Race Car seats. These guys make their money on keeping drivers safe at hundreds of miles an hour. Being a car chic, I knew the name and man am I glad I got one of these babies! Wish I could have/should have bought two when woot had them for sale at $99. My only regret.
It is most commonly compared to Britax but, rear-facing 5-35 lbs and forward-facing 20 lbs and 1 year up to 70 lbs. With that kind of weight range I am VERY happy with my choice.
(PS: not recalled, its been checked and triple checked but thank you for thinking of us. This is a different model.)

I love the Britax Boulevards we have. True Side Impact Protection (Recaro is the only other brand in the US to have that, at least the last time I checked, but I haven't checked in a while). The Britax is the only convertible brand that I'm aware of that can use the top tether when rear-facing.
The weight limits are very high for each mode, so you can keep DC in the safest mode as long as possible.
If I didn't get a Britax, I would get a Recaro..

and now we have the Graco nautilus and thats been gfreat so far too.

we have the britax marathon (in cowmoolauge of course) and ds who is on the large (okk huge) side is very comfortable in it
