BTDT Mommies
What kind of bedding do you suggest for the crib...the kind with the fluffy comforter or are the quilts a little more practical? I'm planning on having our baby sleep in its crib from the beginning since the crib is going to be in our bedroom and it will be the beginning of Fall...so it will most likely be swaddled at the begiining but then as it grows what do you suggest I look into?
Thank you

I got the comforter set. He doesn't use the comforter though, he uses a different blanket.

You can't use the comforter or quilts due to SIDS. You can use the dust ruffle, bumpers and valence for the window. It really isn't necessary to buy the whole expensive bedding set.
You can use the comforter or quilt for tummy time. You can hang the quilt/comforter for decoration or hang it on the crib rail when the baby is not in the crib!

Not dumb! How would you know? I didn't know any of this before I started asking around since no one in my family had a baby for over 10 years before me.

Same here!
It definately was not a dumb question.
I'm surprised that you didn't get more answers because lots of people recommend you get the breathable bumpers and sheets and just skip the whole bedding package.
