BTDT moms- anyone have a child already and then have your twins?
Tell me how hard it was/wasn't honestly?
It is now my biggest fear. I see how hard my routine is sometimes with ONE...and to suddenly have 3. I am just scared to death of things like shopping, leaving the house etc.
Did there come a time it just became easier?
BTW- My son will be 2.5 when the Twins come.

Well, my oldest was 7 when i had the twins - so it was a little different than having another toddler.
but - and I am being perfectly honest - i hardly left the house the first year unless I had someone else to help me.
But, for the most part - the regular stuff - like caring for them and household chores - you just do it, you WILL develop a NEW routine - kwim? The first year is definetly hard but you manage - and if your dh is as involved as mine was than you'll be fine. I found when they started walking, things got a lot easier.
and now, at 3 1/2 its cake.

Yes.... I had a 13 month old when my twins were born. Its not bad at all. I am super organized though and a very very low stress type of person.
Please fm me if you have any questions.

I didn'thave another child when my twins came, but life is a lot different for me then my other friends who had one. This might just be me, but I did not leave the house to go shopping with them- only rarely did I do this. I usually just had someone come over to watch them while i ran out to get things done. Sometimes its just too much of a hassle. Now i take them everywhere, but the first year we didn't do too much but sit in our backyard or go for walks. It's not that bad, just different.

My son was 4 when my daughters were born. And like Tracey said it was easier then having a toddler. But, you do manage. As for running out to the shops. I mainly did that when my husband was home. And I usually took my son with me so that we could have "us" time. I used to call them mini dates. Or my husband would do the shopping. You will be fine. The fear of the unknown is the worst of it. You will be out one day & it will hit you "WOW I can do this!!" LOL

Yes. My son was 3 years old when my twin boys were born. It is very difficult in the beginning but it gets easier..I promise.
Just take any help you can get!

Well, you know my deal, I had 3 under 2 for the first 4 months and even now it is rough. I rarely go anywhere with all 3 of them other then walks to the park.
I found it was kind of a logistics issue, 2 babies to hold and a toddler needing attention. Feeding 2 babies and the toddler needing help getting on the potty. Holding 2 babies and a toddler coming running full speed at you. Holding 2 babies and trying to stop the toddler from falling, jumping, taking something etc. etc.
When the twins first came it was a lot easier, they slept for literally 20 hours a day for the first couple of months, now at 6 months, they are awake a good portion of the day.
Ha, come on over one day and you can see for yourself!
