BTDT moms: anyone have pelvic leg/groin pain while pregnant?
Ever since the bad cramping episode earlier the groin pelvic area where my leg meets my groin has been in alot of pain, walking makes me drag my leg cause it hurts to life it and causes more cramping, just getting up and walking makes that whole inner groin/leg area hurt but just sitting makes the pain radiate to my thigh and knee...what could this be? I can't get comfortable...
This pregnancy is turning out to be way more complicated than my pregnancy with DD....

I had this but much later on in the pregnancy. Towards the end when the baby was bigger she must have been laying on a nerve becasue I would get these shooting pains in my groin down my thigh. SO bad I couldn't walk when it hit- I'd have to stop in my tracks. Once I got stuck on the toilet- couldn't get up it was so bad.

(I actually told my doctor that i felt like a barbie doll and someone was trying to rip my legs off, lol - he said it was totally normal. ugh)

You shoud always ask your OB to verify your pains.
But it sounds like your round ligament. When your uterus grows, the ligament pulls on the struture (bones) it attaches too. It's rather painful. The referal pattern can go all the way up to the belly button and down to 1/3 down your thigh.
Some will mimic sciatica pain in your back but it could be your broad ligament and pain in the bone in the center in your lower back are a lot of times the sacrouterine ligament.
Ask your OB next time you see her/him to make sure you have nothing else going on.

Def ask your OB, to rule out anything that could be serious, BUT be aware, OB's don't know about all orthopedic pain.
I was diagnosed with pelvic dysphoric disorder by a physical therapist, after 4 OBs completely missed the diagnosis and thought I was crazy for complaining. I was so frustrated and so scared, one day I couldn't lie down, the next I couldn't sit, the next I couldn't stand, and the pain was killing me. The OBs, didn't know what pelvic dysphoric disorder was to begin with and had no advice to me but to rest and take tylenol. The best more experienced OB, told me to try Yoga to relieve the pain. She was almost right.
If this is the kind of pain your having, it usually comes in the 3rd tri, but for some, like me starts as early as 12w preg. It was scary and terrible for me.
I got magic relief when I saw a physical therapist who specilizes in pregnancy. She diagnosed me and literally fixed me. I came into the office at 14w limping and barely could walk, sit or stand, I wanted to run out of the office and jump in the street after she "fixed" me. Some simple exercises, similar but not exactly to yoga for pregnancy and I was relatively pain free my entire pregnancy.

I had it. The only thing that helped a bit was putting a pillow in between my legs. I loved that snuggie(I think that's what it is called) thing. In fact I still use it.
