Re: BTDT moms: convertible cribs question
We went right from the toddler bed to the full with no problems. Ryan had no problem adjusting, and it really isn't that huge, but just a bit bigger than a twin. Put up the bed rails to prevent her from rolling out if you need to, but I think that she will do fine.

Re: BTDT moms: convertible cribs question
We went straight from the toddler bed to the full. DS switched when he was about 5.5, and we moved him into his new room. We based it on size, not age. He was getting to the point where the toddler bed really wasn't big enough for him to stretch out. At that point, it's relatively safe to put them in the full bed. He doesn't have any railings. DD will probably go through the same process in another 2 years or so.

I plan on waiting a few years before I convert it to a full bed - probably when he is 5 or so.

Re: BTDT moms: convertible cribs question
I have the same type crib...never used the toddler bed. I had a 2nd child so the crib went to that one and bought a new bedroom set with a twin bed for my son. I'll probably skip the toddler bed for the 2nd one too and he'll either get the full or I'll buy a twin if I decide to have another baby or think the full is too big for his room. I see no reason for a toddler bed for our house.
