BTDT moms: feeding
Okay, the girls are a couple of days shy of 9 months, and mealtimes have become a three ring circus. Why/when did this happen?
We started the stage 3 type foods two weeks ago, and they seem to be bored, I guess with it. They both reach for the bowl, spoon, and of course, they are grabbing and holding each other's hand during meals and laughing and talking to each other. Their highchairs are next to each other, should I separate them, are they having to much fun. Or is this an indication that they are ready for table foods.
Please any advice!!! I don't want to get to the point of extreme frustration!!!

Re: BTDT moms: feeding
This hasn't happened yet to us, so I'm not sure what exactly to suggest. What about if they faced each other so at least they won't be touching? Are they refusing the food altogether or just playing so much that they're not eating as quickly?
Did you try letting them feed themselves? I tried this yesterday with the spoon - what a mess, but they had fun and finished their dinners. (I still held the spoon b/c I didn't want them choking.) Or without the spoon? I cut up pieces of meat or cheese and let them feed themselves - it takes forever but they are entertained and in between I can still feed them.
HTH! Good luck.

Re: BTDT moms: feeding
them laughing and playing I think would occur even if they were alone.
I guess I have to start the table foods, now. Well on the bright side the dog will love the food on the floor.

well baxter has been loving the fact he gets the whites of the eggs, since they are eating pasty yolks.

I would start table foods.
Also maybe get them spoons to hold and you can still feed them with one too.
