BTDT MOMs: Help Ellie is pulling on her ear
Not quite herself, cranky, not eating as much, waking up during the night. She's been swiping at her ear. She takes her hand and flicks it from the back of her had past her ear and over her face. She's not tugging on her ear lobe, but rather pulling the top part of her ear forward. I took her to the Ped yesterday and she doesn't see anything. she said her ears look good so it's not an ear infection and she doesn't see a tooth budding yet. Any other ideas or possibities? Thanks

Just because a tooth isn't budding doesn't mean it isn't teething... Alex gets cranky LONG before the tooth is even visible so I would suggest that's probably what's going on...

Sydney pulls her ear all the time when she's tired and sometimes I think she is just playing with it.

Thats exactly what Noah does when he is tired!!!
I took him to the doctor when he first started doing it also, and they said it was nothing!

My DS started doing this when he found his ears. He occassionally does it when he is tired.

Julia usually plays with her ears after a bath, she seems to itch on of them. I think its from the water getting inside.

Re: BTDT MOMs: Help Ellie is pulling on her ear
Here's something your ped probably didn't mention....ear infections can certainly develop in a day's time. So, just b/c her ears looked good yesterday, doesn't mean that she doesn't have one brewing today. I've had plenty of instances where I end up back at the ped's office twice in one week's time. It's annoying, but that's part of them being so young. I hope she feels better soon!!

Re: BTDT MOMs: Help Ellie is pulling on her ear
Thanks everybody. She definitely does this when she's tired. but now all of a sudden she's doing after she's already had a nap so it's not tired cue. I'm going to just keep an eye on her and see.
