BTDT Moms, how hard is it to travel with an infant and a toddler?
I love being a mom but I really miss travel. We were all set to go to disney but I had a rough weekend with nausea and feeling tired. There is no way I would be able to walk around disney world all day while being 6-7m pregnant with a toddler. I am really bummed about this.
I was just wondering how hard it is to travel with an infant and toddler.
When did you take your first family vacation after DC#2?
Our first family trip was to the caribbean when DS was 10m old. I am hoping to travel way before DC#2 is 10m old this time around.

We took both girls to Disney when DD#1 was 2.5 and DD#2 was 5 months. We went with our families so we had help. The only bad part was the airport. We had soooo much stuff that literally we were at security FOREVER. We had 2 strollers, 2 car seats, 2 kids, 3 carry ons.
Other than the airport the rest of the trip was great. We took 2 strollers so we could get on and off the buses easily, plus we could split up if we wanted (Since we went in August and it was hot I took the baby back to hotel a couple of days in the middle of the day).

We went to disney when I was 7 months pregnant with my DS and DD was 3 and I had no trouble walking around all day - but it depends on how you are feeling during your pregnancy.
We have travelled for short trips with DS and DD at various stages last year - DD was 4 and DS was in his first year. We also took a trip to europe when DD was 4 1/2 and DS was just under a year. It really isn't a problem if you dont expect too much ie I dont expect to have any down time, nights out with DH, me time etc, its just not possible with two kids who are demanding on your time but we still managed to have a great holiday.
Just plan it, do it and have fun

That makes me feel better that it is doable. DH promised we could go with the baby but I was worried about logistics.
I hate being pregnant. I can't wait until this baby is born!

I am still suffering from pretty bad morning sickness and recently have been feeling very tired. I've declined all weddings and am missing a black tie event this week with DH. I'll have small time frames where I feel normal (like last week when I was researching disney) but it usually doesn't last long.
I don't know why I thought I would be able to travel to disney. Even the thought of travel to LI from Manhattan is making me feel sick right now. Sigh.

We did WDW when DD#1 was almost 3 (34.5 months) and DD#2 turned one on the trip. It was a lot of work but it was also a lot of fun. It is definitely doable but it would probably be easier to do if one wasn't walking.

Re: BTDT Moms, how hard is it to travel with an infant and a toddler?
We went to England when DS1 was 2 1/2 & DS2 was 7 mos & they traveled amazingly well. We even walked through London for 2 days with them & had a great time. They were rockstars on the plane, and even slept well in the hotels & such. The time difference the first day effed them up a little, but other than that I would do it again in a heartbeat.
